FFACT

It is official now, the Federation of Filipino American Associations (FFACT) won the hearts of many. Braving the snow and sleet, a bunch of Filipino Association leaders gathered on the morning of Saturday, March 17 at the Courtyard Marriott in Waterbury, Connecticut to lay the foundation for a new and revitalized camaraderie of Filipino associations. Gauging the feelings of the participants, they unanimously felt the need to show Filipino Unity in the state of Connecticut, in this wonderful country of the United States of America.

Opening the meeting for the hosting Filipino association (PAGGAWA) is Julius Fajardo who did an exceptional job of preparing all the visuals. Taking their cue from the emcee, each leader stood up and presented each section of the scheduled agenda. We had Vic De Dios presenting the FFACT to the group. I can't help but remember all the list of charitable endeavors they had done and donated in the past. Of course, no warm blooded Filipino can forget the agenda of the pretty leader from Hartford, Ayang Gan (hmmm... forgot already what she said). Also attending from the famous region of the Mohegans (casinos) is the current president, Loreto Elgo, also famous for being the father of the first Filipina Connecticut Judge.

Well, let me not write about all the boring things. Main thing is the Filipino leaders of Connecticut have voted - "WE ARE THE UNITED FILIPINOS IN CONNECTCUT!" - enough said.
